Omvati joined Pearl Global Industries in 1998 as a tailor. At the time of joining she had 26 recently lost her husband and was in dire need of a job. She was in deep financial troubles, had a single stove and four utensils in her home and three young children to raise. After working for 2 and half years in the company she was in an accident and had to go on a long leave, but rejoined as soon as she healed.
She has now been with the company for 21 years and has been promoted by her General Manager due to her hard work and diligence. Her manager saw her potential and struggles, and she has now been promoted twice. She became a production supervisor soon after rejoining and currently works as a supervisor in finishing.
She has been single-handedly able to educate all her children who are now independent individuals and well settled. Her daughter is a Yoga teacher in Singapore, her elder son is an electrician and her youngest son is finishing his education. She talks with pride of her achievements and of her children.
